Couple easy questions..

Hey guys, my loan has cleared so im gonna buy within the next couple of days.

I was wondering though, again about the GFX card... What would you recommend out of the two:
1. 512MB Asus HD 3870 PCI-E 2.0 (x16), 2250 MHz, GDDR4, GPU 775 MHz, 320 Streams, 2 x DVI-I

OR

2. 512MB BFG Technology 9600GT, OC, PCI-E 2.0, Mem 1800MHz, GDDR3, GPU 675MHz, Stream 64, 2x DL DVI-I

The first one is a lot more expensive as I selected a GDDR4 card - but perhaps I can get similar performance for a lot less out of a 3870 by opting for a GDDR3?? Or not?


Lastly, I am still going with the Silverstone TJ08S uATX but not sure what drive colour to get of this so not to colour clash.. I found this Asus DVD/CD Drive which is also silver, but I'm not sure it will match the case - any views?

3870 over the 9600, but why not the cheapest 8800GT you can find?

The 3870 is the better GC in my opinion, so that would be the one i would go for. TBH i thought the 3870 was all DDR4, so i have learned something

So guys, is there a big performance drop in a GDDR3 3870 and a GDDR4 3970? Quite a substantial difference in price..
