    How do I format a 2TB WD20EARS?

I've just bought a Western Digital WD20EARS 2TB hdd and I've done loads of reading about the advanced format, but can't find anything on how I should format the drive in windows?

What do I set the allocation unit size to? Do I leave it as default or manually select 4096? Does it even make a difference?

Just leave it all at default. 4k allocations will be the default if required by the drive, but if not required then best not to bother with it.

I already formatted it with selecting 4096... but it's copying files over at 65MB/s, so it appears to be working at good performance.
