The link is just a comparison between two RAM models... which have a difference of £1-2 and a bit of Latency.
Which model is better? Which model should I get?

No links at least that I can see!
latency tends to affect the newer amd chips more than Intel. Lower is better.
The value pack also doesn't get a heat spreader but then neither really need one.
Hmm... links are there... and staffsMike can obviously see the links else he couldn't post..
I can't see them though, but they are there
thanks Mike, I'll probably get the lower latency model then
not as if £1-2 is a huge price increase...

I've had a set of that stuff. Does the job nicely.
I can't see the link anymore but I did lol

Well 76p for a heat spreader is a good deal
The differnce if so small go for the xms2, yes the lower latencies are better (I doubt youll notice much differnce to be honest) but because of the heat spreader.
Not because it needs a heat spreader but because a heat spreader makes it much eaiser to handle and fit. the pcb of the ddr2 memory is a bit thin and a heatspreader gives it a good chunck of rigidity and saves on the fingers when pushing it into the slot.
lol... that's called practical advice.
I've gone for the lower latency model w/ heatspreader, simply becuase 76p is so little difference that I doubt that it'll really matter. If it does, and I'm under 76p short of getting it I might change which model I get, but the chances of being so short underneath it (and not getting it in interest the following month...) are far too low for me to be worried.
