This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12)

I'm tearing my hair out over this one.

I have just bought a PCI TV card and trying to get it working is making me an unhappy person.

vista sees the card and installs the drivers but on restarting I get this error code: This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12)

I have tried disabling just about everything on the motherboard that might be interfering with the IRQ but to no avail.

Its a Leadtek DTV2000H

My motherboard has 2 PCI slots and I have tried it in both but with no change.

I had a problem like that with a different card, couldn't do anything tried everything, then went on to the forum of my motherboard manufacturer, which was gigabyte at the time and they sugested one bios update which solved the problem. If you have one of the older mobos try - you might be lucky :)

Yes, thanks for the reply, that solution struck me at around 8am this morning just as I was about to stab the PC.

Turns out the bios I was using was 7 versions out of date.

All working happily now.
