Monitor not receiving signal

Ok now another problem. I went up to the town there and shut the pc off. Swithed it of normally and the way your meant to.

Now when ive come back to turn it on the monitor is receiving no signal. Its just sitting on standby.

What the feck is going on with this dam thing? The rest of the computer is running or at least it looks like it is...

ive removed gcard and memory and gave them a blow. Have checked all wires etc but still no luck.

I havent got a spare gcard lying about ether

Try to change the signal input - DVI<->VGA/D-sub.

what? sorry i dont know how to do that My graphics card only has 2 dvi slots and i have no vga adapters.

Well anyway ive removed one of the crucial sticks and it is working so im assuming that one of my ram sticks is bust?

Well have put an rma request through crucial only to be told that ill have to wait AT LEAST 5 days for a reply. Great service.. not lol. Ill know for the future though when buying memory. Stick with Corsair.

lol i've never used it myself but theres another thread on going sugesting crucial have an amazing RMA service 5 days.. bit of a kick in the goodies.

Try putting the "dodgy" RAM in instead of the good, just to make sure it's the RAM.

BTW you can stop your PC automatically rebooting after a BSOD so you can better see what's causing the problem. It's under System Properties/Advanced/Startup & Recovery - untick "Automatically restart".

I did try it with the other stick on its own and it wouldnt work :/ so im assuming it is the ram.

Run memtest86++ to be absolutely certain.

How do i run mem test on it if my computer wont boot with it installed? Ive never actually run memtest before.

Still waiting on them replying. Service like this means i wont be buying from them again

And im still waiting!! Have emailed them again asking whats the hold up but have been sent another automated response saying they are busy due to high season demand.

I guess they must have alot of faulty products if their rma service is so swamped.

Not inspiring much confidence anyway
