    Question A small price check

Hi i'm going to upgrade my graphics card to a 9800GTX. I currently have a Gigabyte 8800GT which when i brought it cost £192. I've had it for approx 6-7 months. I'm interested in how much it would sell for now so i can use the money to help pay for the new graphics card.

    Thanks in advance,
    Pompalomp

    Re: A small price check

You can pick them up new for £100 so £80 maybe a little more if you are lucky.

If you system specs are up to date then i wouldnt bother if i were you.

On a 19" monitor i doubt you would see hardly any difference at all.

    Re: A small price check

I would agree around the £80 mark but as Blitzen says why the upgrade if you only have a 19" monitor?
Unless your going to upgrade that too.

As above, no need to upgrade if you're using anything 22" or below.

    Re: A small price check

Doesn't look like it needs improving to me, do you have any problems with it?

Another 2GB's of RAM if you really felt the need but it all looks very nice and up to date.

    Re: A small price check

Perhaps you could "upgrade" your broadband provider?

I just moved to O2 from BT and went from around 1.5Mb download to about 7.5mb (per Steedtest.net)
