More heat?
Actually i think you jest but....historically the AMD CPUs have been able to run much hotter without being fried than the Intel equivalents. This is very good as it is more tolerant to overclocking without drastic cooling.
Athlons for example could run up to 90 deg C without being cooked. With a decent HSF they run much cooler of course.
Of course I jest. But the fact is that current Athlons don't OC anywhere near as well as C2Ds, partly because they run hotter. History has nowt to do with it.
And stoner is aptly named.
That's just one benchmark...
Clock for clock they wont be that different but my E6600 clocks to 3.4GHz on a freezer 7 pro and under load is around 50 degrees.
With the ninja I can get my other one to 3.6GHz lol
Less performance and more heat though.......
Saved money...maybe.
Performance hit...definitely.
If you are trying to tell anyone that an Athlon 4200 is as good or better than an E660 then you are a very deluded person. There is absoultely NO competition. THe 4200 isnt even in the same league.
Hehe you have an 8400GS and talk about gaming? Post your certified 3DMark06 score.
I use my mobile 8400gs for gaming.. nowt wrong with that
lol wel.. i actually dont like the vista minesweeper so i refuse to play it
It plays COD4 at 1280 x 800, CS:S at 1680 x 1050 with some AA, Rainbow Six vegas at 800 x 600 but thats hard on the CPU, and Ghost recon at the same. Works really well
So it can't play any fairly new game at native screen resolution!?!!!
(CS:S is old)
How is nowt wrong?
1280 x 800 is native for my laptop. CS:S is when it's plugged into my 2007WFP.
lol I very much doubt it but I don't have so I couldn't tell you
If it did work it would have be on the lowest settings I would think.
