Re: Need To Change My Build

dont bother with the 8500+ RAM just get PC6400 it's all the Q6600 will be able to use.

Dunno what an asus V60 is but i would get something like a thermalright ultima 90 or scythe ninja.

I wouldn't use maxtor HDD's but thats personal.

Re: Need To Change My Build

Hi,I would say Asus P5kc is a bad choice. Its such a bad motherboard.I had this motherboard and i sold it because it doesnt overclock at all. Also the Realtek onboard sound is rubbish.

    Motherboards i recommend.

    Asus p5k-E
    Asus P5N-D Nvidia 750i SLI DDR2 ATX Motherboard - Socket LGA775
    or similar

Q9450 is a good choice but you dont have to wait till july.If u are interested i can sell you an OEM version of the chip for £230 inc delivery(within next week).

Nope the processor is brand new.I recieved it yesterday.

I bought this for a friend of mine for building him a video editing pc.But he is in a very tight budget so will go with Q6600 instead.
