Dell XPS 1530- Anyone have one?

Does anyone have one of these machines?

Friend has bought one and she has said the sound quality is rubbish.
Any ideas what soundcard it has in and is it poor?I hear a sb audigy which should be just fine.

I understand the speakers may be a bit rubbish but its a lappy.

Also any problems with the thunb scanner?

It's usually sigmatec with dells. I have the M1330 and thats what it uses.

Is it just the rubbish speakers or is the sound.. fuzzy? Plug headphones in would be my advice and see what it's like then.

There are sound quality settings in vista that may affect it I suppose..

Not my lappy Mike.I told her to reject it under distance selling and dell have agreed.
tried the headphones, but she said it was worse than her 5 year old lappy. May just not have been set up correctly.
