    Do you find Storeage unusually exciting, even when you don't need it?

    Cos I do...

    I have plenty of room left, but I keep looking at sata drives, "just in case"

    I think I need some help....soon!

    Not in the slightest I know you like WD though, which I can get on board with

    Everyone seems to have their particular little closet enjoments with PC's though. Graphics is an obvious one. Quite like cases and mobo's myself lol

    Seem to notice my old annoyance Blitzen having strong opinions (and a large collection ) on PSU's, knows a lot about them too.

    Main thing I look for now is total silence. I got close with my P182 but I want to go further but keep a few fans lol

    My girlfriend hates hexus for this

    i love my 8gb corsair voyager, i carry it everywhere with me, even when i'm not going anywhere near a computer. i think i'm subconciously seeing if it will break, because i randomly hit it on things. testing its indestructible claim.

    as for storage, i keep looking at new cases and think.. 'how many hard drives can i put in that?'

    does anyone else think... 1 hard drive for windows, 1 for games, 1 for downloads, 1 for backup/storage? just me then?

    Or combine all 4 of them to a RAID5 array
    I used to buy huge computer cases that can fit loads of hdds, now I'll just go for external drives if I need more than 4~5 drives.
    Afterall, USB ports are cheap compared to SATA ports...

    I'm into silencing my PC. Its pretty much inaudible but......why not tinker anyway?

    Also have a thing for PSUs and fans.

    Would love to do water cooling if it was a bit cheaper

    Storage Actually turns me on, it is like how women think cars with bigger exhausts are faster. I think cars with more hd are better. HD is amazing, got to be WD as well

    i get like this sometimes..
    but it's more towards my systems temperatures more than anything else.
    even though i know my CPU never hits 50'C even at full load i still like to have the core-temp app running in the system tray.

    HD space has never been a worry to me though.
    only used 33GB of my HD..

    I like mass storage too

    1x Thecus N5200Pro filled with 5x 500GB drives in RAID-5
    1x Thecus N5200Pro with 4x 1TB drives in RAID-5
    2x 400GB drives (each connected by eSATA to the two N5200s)
    1x 500GB in an external case for moving files about
    1x 120GB boot drive in laptop
    1x 250GB slave drive in laptop
    1x 200GB timeshift and TV recording drive in HTPC

    I also have a few smaller drives kicking about, my old laptop still has a 60, so does my client HTPC.

    mmmmm storage

    I also like storage systems, boxes, cabinets, cupboards etc.

    I enjoyed storage a while ago but in the past few months i`ve had a drive completely die on my and now another 2 are playing up. 1 sometimes doesnt show up in windows and another one seems to like grinding a lot
