Q9300 with asus commando?

On asus's webby it says that it will work with the correct BIOS update.... ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support-
but will it work as it should or will there be issues. Is there anyone else here who has upgraded to the 45nm cpu's in 965 mobos? thanks

The Commandos were flaky as it was without outting 'foreign' PSUs in them.

My commando is awesome 520fsb+ easy, commando ftw. But as long as nothing will be disabled in the cpu its self or any other issues then I don't mind.

I put my Quad in a 975 mobo and it was very unstable.
Bios release will only enable it to run and im sure it wont be very stable. They just arent designed for it.

O rite so getting a decent overclock probably wont be possible (what is unstable about it, volts/temp?), so if that's the case I might as well keep what I've got.
