Re: Logitech driver?! :O_o1:
That's weird ..I would have thought it woudl just work with XP but have you used your driver CD?
Re: Logitech driver?! :O_o1:
I know you probably did this but i might aswell ask.... did you have the mouse plugged in before you started it up?

Think I binned it after I didn't need it for my other 2 XP machines. All I thought it had on it was Set Point... :(

Yes and no, not the first time, but I've restarted with it in. Had a look in bios as well, no options for anything usb related.
Re: Logitech driver?! :O_o1:
i had a problem with a mouse and it wouldn't work in my PC.. even if i restarted. but for some reason it worked if i totally shut down the PC then turned it back on again, tried that?
Re: Logitech driver?! :O_o1:
Windows is shutting down...

Re: Logitech driver?! :O_o1:
Just turn it on and off a few times... works for my Logitech Mx518 after a lan :P
Re: Logitech driver?! :O_o1:
Lol, well no luck with the fix from the logitech forum, and the talk of reinstalling the OS is a bit beyond what I can do with a work laptop! Arg I'll keep it plugged in and see if it springs to life. Oh well best get on with the actual work...
Re: Logitech driver?! :O_o1:
Perhaps you work laptop prevents you form installing other drivers...do you have admin access?
Re: Logitech driver?! :O_o1:
Woop, figured it out eventually!
First step was to copy the inf directory in a different windows install somewhere and share it. Then look for the driver there. Then is would look for some sys files so you pop in a XP cd and point towards the i386 directory and hey presto: a mouse!
Thanks for everyones help and advice. I guess using the Windows CD from the logitech forum guide should have worked but no luck here. Oh well it's done. Yay :D
