THe cash saved can go on a half decent cooler (£25 should do it) and it will clock great.
People may be surprised by the amount of performance attainable by these Lower end cpu's. Even the dual core celerons look fun, will make good use for a cheap HTPC/Internet PC

E2xxx chips are fantastic value for money, but given the price differential between the cheapest and the most expensive I think you'd be better off in the long run to get to top one which at 2.4GHz is a great chip and will last her for an age.

    My recommendation, the E2220

    Re: Which Dual Core?

What about using an AMD processor?? If you do not intend to overclock and if the computer is required for normal use then something like an X2 6000 or even a X2 5600 should be good enough. I have used an X2 4000 in a build and it is perfectly fine for most tasks. Combine this with a 780G motherboard and unless you are gaming/rendering you do need to buy an additional graphics card too!
