    HD dilemna

Hi folks, 2 questions for you rgarding HD issues,
firstly I need some advice on installing a second HD, I currently have a SATA 160GB connected on SATA 1, the second drive i want to add is a maxtor (7200) IDE drive, where should I put this drive to keep performance optimal? i think there are 3 options..

    IDE Primary
    IDE Secondary
    SATA 2 (using a SATA/IDE converter)

    what should i go for?

secondly, my main SATA drive seems pretty busy all the time, I can only assume its swapping out a lot (i got 512mb RAM) are there any settings i can check to make sure my SATA drive is running at the correct speed, with a second HD installed the first thing i will do is set the swap file to the second HD, any other tweaks that might improve this? or should i get more memory..

    advice appreciated as always...
