    Check out what they think of their target market LOL:
    Take a New Look with the 8.9 inch Display
    Through extensive R&D, the inclusion of the 8.9" display screen does not affect the overall weight of the Eee PC 900, which remains below 1kg – making it easy for children and women to carry it around;
    Aw, bless, you know, those women do struggle so, and we men must do all we can to help their weedy little army-warmies.
    I'm commenting on an internet forum. Your facts hold no sway over me.

    It's not so much that women, or children of either gender can't physically lift 2-5kg laptop, or far more weight for that matter, but I suspect that it's no lie that, women are less willing to carry larger laptops than men in general. 2.3kg is on the lighter side of 14.1" laptops, and I would not expect (m)any guys to complain about it's weight if all else (specification etc.) is what they are looking for, yet I know a few ladies who simply find the weight too cumbersome. Weight aside, one of the appeal of the EEE PC I've also heard is that it can fit in their handbags which I suppose also fits in their 'easier' to carry function.
