    New Build Check

Want to check below before ordering, budget really up to £1,100 (big chunk of that though is inflexible) for gaming and development:-

    Case - Akasa Mirage 62 - £105
    PSU - Corsair HX 620W - £85
    MOBO - IP-35 Dark Raider (seems popular) - £68
    CPU - Q6600 G0 - £138
HSF - Scythe Ninja Plus rev b (seems popular) - £30
    RAM - 2 x 2gb Corsair (obviously easy getting all from Scan) - £55
    HDD - 500 gb SATA II - £50
    CD/DVD - Optiarc / Nec - £16
    GPU - Gainward 8800 gts 1940/650 - £165
    Vista x64 - £105
    Kaspersky - £7
    Samsung SM226bw v2 - £210

    £1,034

Certain items non-negotiable: case, psu, software & monitor anything else goes!

After reading around Hexus seems the 8800gts (going for Gainward as BFG out of stock) would be the best bang for buck in the £150 to £180 bracket. If there's any real benefit then upping this into the £190 - £220 range is fine.

    Comments greatly appreciated...

    Re: New Build Check

Stick with the GPU you chose. You wont be disappoited.

That PSU is complete overkill for that system. The 520W is more than enough even if you add other things to it.
