Asus P5N32-E SLI PLUS 775 Looping Splash Grr
Hey folks,
I built a computer for a mate down in London, but after a few months it shut down on him randomly whilst playing gears of war and now everytime he switches it on, he gets stuck at the asus splash screen and it keeps going round and round from what i hear.
I have guided him through a CMOS reset, but that has failed to do the trick, and even a battery pull.
This is a mid to high range system with 2 8800GT's in SLI, and a nice atrix 800w power supply.
Im sure we should be able to do something here besides an RMA of the board or something. Any thoughts chaps?
Cheers!

P.s Another gfx card has been tried but no dice. The GT's we're mildly overclocked too.

Whilst I'm not familiar with Asus boards, did you overclock anything other than the 8800GT's ? If not, is your friend likely to have fiddled with the settings? Reason I ask is it sounds almost like it's the overclock recovery utility is kicking in.
