how can i fix this?

my sister, as always, decided to go and break something before.. this time she decided to poke the inner piece of my speakers in

i reckon there must be a way to fix it.. just dunno how

any suggestions will be tried



these are Logitech X-530's btw.. just with the front covering removed to get a clearer picture and help with 'repair'

it's kinda worked..
removed 1 of the 3 dints
just can't suck hard enough OH GOD, DO I HAVE TO SAY THIS?!


edit: sucked hard enough that time and it's sorted it!

I am curious, Would that actually make a difference to the sound? I'm fairly sure it wouldn't (at least not noticably) because that part of the cone just helps direct the sound.

Reminds me of James May and his 20th Century thing were he went to look at a satellite being built and every time he said anything like, "oh look, what's that bit there?" he got closer and pointed at the part of interest only to be scolded by the escorting bod, "don't touch!". Happened about 5 times because he didn't understand how fragile some of these things are (especially with static). Sounds like your sister (if she's old enough) needs a similar treatment.

If I remember correctly the inner lump is the tweeter and is vibrated to generate the higher frequency sounds, dents in it will cause distortion of the sound produced, even after sucking out the dents. although the distortion will be pritty small after sucking the dents out.
