well it keeps crashing now cant install xp so im gonna try the dell memory again and see if it makes a difference, i followed the ram settings for the ocz from the abit forum for this board so if it still fails then theres a real compatability issue here with the ip35 ive wasted 3 days on this now should have just bought a dell xps...lol

reset cmos put in dell ram 512 and it all works fine so the ram is the problem i just need someone with a ip35 and ocz ram to check settings.

I don't know if this will help but I use GeIL RAM in the IP-35 Pro and I got the recommended settings off the GeIL site (they were also on the packaging).
Perhaps OCZ have a site that lists the recommended voltage and settings?
The IP-35 Pro tends to default to 1.8V for the RAM sticks and that is a bit low for some sticks, even though it's supposed to get the values from the SPD settings of the stick itself. Perhaps the IP-35E behaves in the same way.
Another suggestion is to post in the USA Abit forums where you may have a higher chance of someone using the same board and memory combination.
ive done all that m8 they gave me there settings, but she still seems wobbly, ive got her in a xclio case with 2 big 180mm fans on side and front and her temps are.....CPU 44o SYSTEM 25o PWM 36o xp is up and running sp3, the ocz is running now but i feels shes too hot when she starts up i think ill leave her going all night and see in the morning what shes like but id like to get her cooler than that for the summer, i must say the raptor has impressed me with speed....

Hev you run memtest on the RAM itself?
which exact OCZ is it?
OCZ DDR2 PC2-6400 Platinum Revision 2 is 4-4-4-15 with between 1.9V & 2.1V.
Nothing wrong with those temps.
