    Re: ip35 no post problem

well it keeps crashing now cant install xp so im gonna try the dell memory again and see if it makes a difference, i followed the ram settings for the ocz from the abit forum for this board so if it still fails then theres a real compatability issue here with the ip35 ive wasted 3 days on this now should have just bought a dell xps...lol

reset cmos put in dell ram 512 and it all works fine so the ram is the problem i just need someone with a ip35 and ocz ram to check settings.

    Re: ip35 no post problem

I don't know if this will help but I use GeIL RAM in the IP-35 Pro and I got the recommended settings off the GeIL site (they were also on the packaging).

Perhaps OCZ have a site that lists the recommended voltage and settings?

The IP-35 Pro tends to default to 1.8V for the RAM sticks and that is a bit low for some sticks, even though it's supposed to get the values from the SPD settings of the stick itself. Perhaps the IP-35E behaves in the same way.

Another suggestion is to post in the USA Abit forums where you may have a higher chance of someone using the same board and memory combination.

    Re: ip35 no post problem

Hev you run memtest on the RAM itself?
    which exact OCZ is it?
    OCZ DDR2 PC2-6400 Platinum Revision 2 is 4-4-4-15 with between 1.9V & 2.1V.

    Nothing wrong with those temps.
