The variance between keyboards, especially the way the keys respond, can be massive. I've never got on with the Logitech - soft touch style keyboards for example, they're just too imprecise.

If you're on a tight budget I've always enjoyed using standard Dell keyboards. Modern ones are a little light weight but the key response is mostly excellent.

As reference I use a MX1000 for FPS. I'm still impressed by its accuracy, even more so because it's wireless. While I'd recommend it there are so many more recent mouse out there I'd hope others were even better now.

    Re: Gaming Keyboard/Mouse

Just got the parcel that has the Sidewinder in.

Very nice fit, comfortable and hopefully use the weights to make it 'feel' better.

It's not a large mouse at all really, slightly larger than average but it fits my hand nicely.

As for keyboards, I'll keep abusing my wireless Logitech one or the old clunky wired one. Think I need to be in a shop and try out keyboards for response and "springiness" of the keys.

But before all that, I need a headset (how did I forget that?!).

Thanks for the suggestions on mice/keyboards

On a side note: I didn't realise I bought the OEM version of the Sidewinder. Need to download the software for it when I get home!

    [EDIT]
OK, so I can't install the software for the Sidewinder AND the logitech one at the same time :/ guess I'll live with the default that xp chooses for me. lol.
    [/EDIT]

Don't think so. I thought for £32 it was retail but was infact OEM. Silly me didn't look carefully and just bought on a whim.
