    X-Fi Drivers for Vista 64

How bad are these drivers that Creative have made. I've heard alot of people complaining, but also seen alot of people wonering what all the fuss is about.

I am looking at either getting the x-fi gamer or Asus Xonar d1

    Any thoughts?

Is really for only playing games and listening to music while working.

XFI: Aside from 5.1 not working (I have to choose 7.1 and then remap the speakers with the THX console to get surround sound) they're not *too* bad these days (after a year and a half of static). That said, if I were buying one again i'd got with the Asus - the quality is there and it does EAX too (if that's even important anymore). Creative's driver team are just awful.

Re: X-Fi Drivers for Vista 64

I use xfi on both Vista 32 and 64 on a decent set of headphones, I've not had problems at all for well over a year, Ive found the drivers to be pretty good to be honest, gaming using cmss is sweet
