Been reading up on Hybrid SLI and it looks interesting..., so can someone explain it to me, im more interested in the switching between the integrated graphics and the add in card.
For example, If I had a hybrid SLI motherboard with a 8800GT in the PCI-E slot, could I use the integrated graphics whislt in windows and have the 8800GT totaly powered down, then when I want to play a game have it power up the card and use it without a reboot?
If thats the case how does it work, do I connect the monitor to the integrated graphics and the SLI tech routes the signal from the 8800GT through that or would I have to physicly swap the cable over?
Lastly it looks like its only avaliable for AMD CPU's?, Any word of a Intel chipset with this tech?
Cheers![]()
