1 card is good but because games are nividia biased x-fire just aint working for me so i am going sli

Stop wasting your money on crappy graphics industry gimmicks and get a half decent PSU. All things tend to work better when they have reliable energy, silicone bits especially. Another point, games aren't "nvidia based", *some* are just retarded enough use nV specific extensions in their engines that were kept out of DX because they suck. This, however, has no bearing on wether or not the system has 1 GPU or 30, or if it's ATi or nV, the drivers deal with X-Fire/SLi, not the games.
