    Water Cooling Help

    Hi

I am writting a wishlist for custom water cooling, i am new to this so needed some guidance in what will work together and fit. so far i have:

    Radiator
WaterCooling UK: Black Ice GT Stealth I

    Pump
    WaterCooling UK: D-Tek DB-1 Compact 12v Pump

    Reservoir
WaterCooling UK: XSPC Bay Reservoir - Black
(pump to be submerged into Res/ dont no what connections/screws etc needed for that.)

    Tubing
WaterCooling UK: 1/2" Blue/UV Blue High Flex Hose (XSPC)
(dont no if it will fit)

    Cpu block
WaterCooling UK: D-TEK FuZion CPU Block

i dont no what fittings and screws/clips are needed as you can see im a noob at this so if you could help me that would be great. the case im using is the CM-C90, i want everything inside the case, and everything has to be blue (its the theme)

Think you would have been better of with clearflex 3/8 tubing if your new to this.

Use metal clamps for the tubing. Are barb fitting with generally do if you use metal clamps.

    Re: Water Cooling Help

First point : spend lots of time researching!

Personally I wouldnt go for that pump. I dont think you can submerge the pump in the res as it is a sealed unit. Plus I dont think that is a submergeable pump. I would go for a laing DDC with an XSPC res top. This works out at pretty much the same price as the pump/res combo you have chosen and it should give much better flow rates. The swiftech MCP350 is your cheapest option and is a rebranded laing DDC 3.1.
That waterblock is probably the best you can buy but not many places have them in stock at the moment. I would go for an XSPC X20 delta as it is a good alternative and slightly cheaper.
For a cheaper radiator I would look at scan, they have a good choice of reasonably priced rads. Consider a 120x2 rad if it will fit in your case as it will give better performance.
1/2" tubing is fine, as long as all of your barbs are 1/2". You will need metal jubilee clips to secure them.
For the loop you will need distilled water and a coolant additive. Or ready mixed coolant (Feser 1).

    Laing DDC Top/w Reservoir (XSPC) |Specialtech.co.uk -

    Re: Water Cooling Help

thank for the help, i dont really no where the pump should go, i got a C90 so tuns of space but does it cause alot of vibrations etc ? and sound ? and the Reservoir where should that go ? thats why i thought bout the 5.25 bay 1, as its out of the way ?

i agree about the cpu waterblock. uhm im not sure where to put the 120x2 radiator either, need alot of help with this : this is the case im working with:

    Cooler Master

there are 2 120mm fans at the top of the C90 i guess a radatior could be fitted there, (but might be a bit tight on the mobo) but i was thinking bout putting a 120 radiator at the bottom... ?? what you think

    Re: Water Cooling Help

A 240mm rad will give you significantly better performance than a 120mm rad.

You should be able to fix it to the top of the case without any trouble remember you will need the depth of the radiator and the fans to clear any motherboard components so get measuring, your fans should start ~50mm from the edge of the case so should clear the motherboard unless the are particularly tall components on the top edge.

If it wont fit then you could always put in 2 120mm rads this will lower your flowrate (you will require a better pump) but will give you similar performance to a single 240mm rad.
