Ubuntu Server Case
Antec NSK3480 MATX Micro Tower - With 380W EarthWatts PSU ATX12V 2.2 USB/FireWire/Audio - Ebuyer
Would this be a good option to house my Ubuntu server ?
Am looking at running an x2 3800 CPU / MATX mobo and 3 hard drives.
It will only be serving files up to my other PCs, and maybe doing an occasional movie transcode.
Thanks

Re: Ubuntu Server Case
A great choice in my opinion, the only problem...
You can only install 3 HDDs and one optical drive, you can place one HDD in the floppy bay, one in the HDD bay on the top of the case and the last on the bottom HDD bay.
No room for expansion in other words.

Re: Ubuntu Server Case
thanks. expansion shouldnt be a problem given I will be installing 2 * 500 and 1 * 750Gb drives If it becomes a problem I'll just need to buy some 1Tb drives :)

Re: Ubuntu Server Case
Aargh, have now been doing too much research.
I also have now got hold of a PSU (this one which scan were doing for £30 last week ! Massive overkill but seems like a good PSU) which changed my thinking a bit away from the Antecs.
Am now torn between
Antec NSK3480 - Ebuyer
Antec NSK1380 - Ebuyer
Lian li PC-V300A - Specialtech.co.uk
Silverstone SUGO SG03-B - Scan Computers UK
The server's going to be in a fairly cramped location so I thought the Lian Li or the SG08 would give the best airflow given their meshed exterior.
That said the box is going to be doing not much more than file serving so will not be running hot.
