Monitor Suggestions

I am thinking of getting a 24" monitor, but i dont know which one. I need it to have an HDMI connection (for PS3) and a DVI for a computer.

I can't really tell what any monitors are like except for the specs but do any of you have suggestions with experience of one except for just specs, or if you have any guidance on the relative performance with regards specs etc. would be much appreciated.
