I'd be tempted to stick with them even with the faliure but samsung do offer a good alternative.

To be honest, it is the first drive failure I have ever had so I can't complain really - the drive in my old machine was a Maxtor 120Gb which is still running after a good 6 years or so - might stick it in this machine when I get the RMA sorted with Scan as a temporary measure lol

I know a lot of people recommend the WD drives so I will probably stick with them and try again as even though it hasn't been in the machine long it has worked well up until now
