See what you think.....

(Oh and I KNOW i got PC CHips mainboards but I WAS ON A BUDGET! LOL and they aren't THAT bad as bog standard boards for kids).....

my boss would have been looking at very well cased pentium 3 and a pop up telling him to go procreate himself with windows launch.

Well these are the things I GOT, so i cant change em! I've used PC chips before DirectHex and never ha d aproblem with em - maybe lots have but i ain't so for the price i reckon it's worth a shot. I mean the next cheapest with those features were £40+ each and thats adding another £40 onto the total of the two systems...
Oh and the 9600xt is much better than a fx5200!!!!!

I offered to do the systems too - he didnt make me!

I've built them both up nearly now (not bad in an hour of my dinner break). Cases are pretty nice for the cash, the E-Buyer PSU's are always a bit rubbishrubbishrubbishrubbishe and i do regret getting them now - but at the time they wanted lower cost so I cut where I could.....PSU is very important though. I have spares anyway if they ever fail.

    thx

Suppose it's pretty good for the money, only £383.50 each... Next time, spend a tiny bit extra on the mice, PSU's, mobo's and cases and you'll have very happy customers.

I agree with the PSU's and maybe the Mobo's but just doing that would take the price to around £420 each and then we're talking £840 for the lot - nearly £100 more altogether......and if i upped the cases and mice as well.....well you can see i'd be nearing £900.....bit different to £767.

If they had said to me that they could spend more, then I would have picked better parts in some areas but I think for the cash its not too bad for a mid-range system.

Stop picking on my mice!! some of ya may like yer 'Boomslangs or whatever but I like to keep it simple and cheap! I LIKE THIS MOUSE! lol

Ewwww, they're too light, far too flimsy, and not a particularly comfortable shape, sure they tracking is okay, but that's the only half decent thing about them, well, other than they're cheap..

seriously, go with a logitech or m$ mouse next time, it's worth it, seeing as it's one of the bits you use the most.

Oh yeah, where are the keyboards?

They already got keyboards and monitors.

Well I guess mice are a personal thing. I like light, flimsy and uncomfortable mice it seems! but if they were so bad to me then I wouldn't use them

Oh , u know the PSU is gonna be a real corker when you hear it rattling inside and after some investigation you manage to get a glob of glue or resin out of it... that actually just happened! LOL

well whaddya want for 9 quid eh?!? jam on it!?

i too am a fan of the light and flimsy mice, ive got a micro mouse (Belkin optical) its very basic but i like it that way, i cant be bothered with those big heavy rhino mice anymore,i can now headshot people with a mere twitch of the hand instead of pushin it.
