    SD37P2 and 8 Gig Ram at PC2-6400

    Hi,

    Anyone out there got a Shuttle SD37P2 to run with 8 Gig's of PC2-6400 ? or for that matter with 8 Gig's at 533,667, or 800 ?

    I was thinking of adding something like Geil Black Dragon DDR2 8.0GB PC6400 Quad Channel memory kit (4 x 2GB) 800MHz (5-5-5-15)

i have the same shuttle and they dont really like it when i utilize all four slots. it wouldnt post but if i used just two of any slot combination (black red, red red, black black, red black) then it would boot up normally. very weird but could just be my set. also if you look at shuttle's website under support, check the specs, it should say what the max memory it can take

Yep got 8Gig that I will be trying to send back today. It will take an 2 x2 in any slots. But when I put all 4 in sometimes it will post with 8 gig but if it dose this none of the super IO works. Some times it will just not boot.

    Very odd.

we'll just have to wait for a new bios revision, by the way the new audio driver will fix the rear audio output. i couldnt get it to work a couple of months ago and the last reformat i did i downloaded the latest version of audio driver and everything works fine now. not sure if you had the same problem but there you go
