    Drobo multi disk RAID/NAS

I see this is on scan's today only list (at the bottom)

Drobo is an easy-to-use desktop storage array that plugs into your Mac, PC or Linux system via hi-speed USB 2.0. Drobo enables users to reliably store up to
    16TB of data,
Anyone know if it is still imited to 2GB volumes ?
AIUI if you put in 4x 1TB drives, you would have 2x volumes created, and less redundancy?

A pitty it's limited by USB, they should have stuck an eSATA or gigabit ethernet port on it instead, £160 for a dumb fileserver is a bit of a rip when you can get an NLSU2 for less than half that and you can hack it to bits.

You'd have the same amount of redundancy irrespective of the number of volumes as the redundancy is at a drive level.
