try changing the first boot device to CD, and set the second, third to 'none' or 'disable'.. and i'm pretty sure you need to press a key to boot from the cd.. do you get the message
'press any key to boot from cd.....'
if not then are you sure the cd you are using is actually a 'boot cd'?
(i don't know how to check)
yeah comes up with press any key ... but i cant find the any key
joke ... i press any key and it just boots into windows still!! =(
Sounds like your keyboard isn't being recognised....Its not an Abit board is it?
thanks s kinton you gave me an idea for something else to check...
if its a usb keyboard - have you got legacy usb enabled in the bios? i didn't have this enabled and was wondering why my 'any key' presses were not working..
and i would still change the boot devices to all cd. and disable 'boot from other devices' (just remembered that one)
haha found the problem it was usb keyboard was disabled in bios :S muppet.. thanks for help
