Asus certainly were the one to go for, but I'm not sure that is true anymore... there have been one or two adverse comments about some of the P35 offerings. ABit seem to be recommended by overclockers (although the Asus offers overclocking features, if thats what floats your boat), and Gigabyte make great play on the build quality and the fact they use solid tantalum capacitors which they say leads to greater reliability.
Personally I think for general use there is little to choose, so I would buy on expansion capabilities and price. However you might want to look at teh mfrs web sites and check teh specs yourself, but remember they are hyping up their features so you nneed to read them with care.
I think on balance I would go for Asus or Gigabyte, but I would find it hard to justify that, and the Abit board will probably do just as well.
