    2 SN45G's - 2 Different Beasts?

Hrrmm Finally got my second SN45G up - that makes 2 indentical SN45G's, 2 barton 2500+'s WD SE 40GB HDD's. Nice nice.

Ive noticed that the one ive been running for a couple of months has an enhance psu and the new one i have has an achme psu.

Ive been having trouble with the enhance PSU one crashing in games, and also not being able to hit 3200speeds stable (the 12v and VCORE are way down). Is this coz of the enhance PSU? I did some searching on these ere forums and it seems that the general consensus is to bin the enhance one, the achme one should be ok?

Lol - no wonder the enhance was struggleing - it had Barton 2500 @ aproaching 3200 speeds, 2 x WD 7200ROM HDD's, DVD drive, and Radeon 9600 pro. Would all my good kit be better off in the achme shuttle?

How annoying is this - the expensive shuttle from gemma.co.uk has a crap psu, and the el cheapo special offer one from microdirect has a tidy psu (but no ShuttleX logo on the front!) :/

Ill see what the achme shuttle gets to if it hits 200fsb i be happy

So the question is - should i replace the Enhance with a silent x? Extra 45 quid to make a shuttle that already cost 30 quid more than my achme one useable? thats crappola.

    Dun dun daaaaaaaaaa .

go get a silentX PSU, the one i have has now settled down and is silent as a monk with a vow of silence in a library.

Check the motherboard revisions too - The Achme one might be rev 2 which has probs and the Enhance may be rev 1 which doesnt (according to what I have read). Probs I have read about Rev 2 say they can die when RAM Voltage is changed !!
Motherboard revision is found on the edge of PCB by the AGP connector
I got my SN45G from Microdirect 2 and it has Achme PSU and Rev 2 but does have the Shuttle X logo

Because of probs with V2 I think ppl prefer V1. Do a search on these forums and I think you will find more details

No bloody use to me ive already got my 2 shuttles and would have to shell out £90 odd to make them right!

But yes, i expect shuttle to make the 250w standard - its in their interests not to supply us with crap PSU's that crap out!!
