Which P4 Mobo?

I've got a P4 3.0C CPU and 1x 512Mb Corsair XMS3500 CAS2 RAM and plan on adding a second stick of RAM at a later date.

I plan to run the CPU/RAM 1:1 at or around 217fsb (so I can keep decent RAM timings)

What I want to know is which board will be best out of the following -

Abit AI7
Abit IC7-G
Abit IC7-Max3
Asus P4P800
Asus P4P800 Deluxe
Asus P4C800
Asus P4C800 Deluxe
Asus P4C800-E Deluxe

The reason I have listed so many is that I would rather spend as little as possible if I'm not going to be pushing for stupid fsb's.

I want the system to be as stable as possible.

I've never had an asus board before and have always like my abit one's, but have heard bad things about the latest abit boards.

One major factor which does make me look at the abit boards is that they have spdif audio in AND out (asus only seem to have inputs). This would be useful for recording my minidiscs to CD.

I'm not too worried about LAN speed, as I will only be using it if/when I get an ethernet broadband router.

In terms of HDD compatability, I currently have an SATA WD Raptor as C: and an ATA133 Maxtor as D: although I may move to all SATA in the future.

i have an IC7-MAX 3 running at 250 fsb can recomend it enough

I've got a P4P800 and have a 2.8Ghz running at 248fsb rock solid 1:1. These are v.cheap at the mo (~£75) plus it has a passive northbridge heatsink - some might say a disadvantage but silence is golden and i've never had a problem at 248fsb (raised Vcore & Vdimm) so you certainly shouldn't at 217!

perhaps you should consider the DFI LANPARTY PRO875B its around £115 and has spdif in AND out ,it also looks sweet and comes with loadsa bits and it has ide raid

it also has a 2 year warranty and can be returned direct to the manucturer here in the uk
