    Re: SATA DVD drive

yep just a normal sata cable and a power connctor for it whether it be a sata power connector or molex
alot of things come without cables nowadays as they are generally supplied with the motherboard and or the PSU

    Re: SATA DVD drive

Any R/RW gear that I have bought has a IDE connector? I had no idea that they could be SATA connected?

    Re: SATA DVD drive

Quite right TAKTAK. I have only ever bought IDE. We live and sometimes learn? Still, on my machine mobo all four SATA connectors have a HD connected.
