Hexus is an great community with a welcoming feeling to it, glad i signed up . I was thinking that what might be quite good to add to this section of the forums would be user reviews on things they have, whether people want to just look at the perty pictures of things or to use it as a non-commercial review i think it could be a briliiant resource. Many do some reviews here and there but they get lost as new threads come and go.

What does everyone think?

TBH ive been here some time and didnt realise that section was there, it doesnt look like its used much which is a shame. Honest user reviews are very useful.

LOL i diddnt know that was there either!! i much prefer user reviews then mags/corporate reviews has i know most times the manifacturer pays them to say god things about there product lol

Damn, I knew I was doing something wrong. Nearly twenty years of writing magazine and newspaper reviews, and several thousand written, and not once have I been offered a bribe. Do I feel stooopid.

Anyhow I never knew that a review section existed on hexus, good thing I saw this thread though. I've got a couple of new pieces of hardware arriving soon so I should be able to put some reviews up

I think user reviews are good for things that corporate reviews dont test such as 6 months later!

The trouble with having people reviewing computer parts etc is the benching is all going to be different and it takes ages to do so a good comparison will be hard to take.

Even with things like monitors peoples ideas on picture quality are going to vary hugely where as a reviewer having looked at 10 monitors and used them for a bit can usually pic out the best of one of the best.
