Asus P5K VM or P5K SE motherboard, I notice there's not much difference in price...to go along along with the Q6600 Quad CPU - which would you go for?

I serverly doubt you would notice a difference. I'd probably have the VM I seem to remember it having more features. (EDIT: quick inspection shows them to be very similar accept the SE has an eSATA port, which is a fast port for external hard drives if that is useful)
They are a different size which may affect which case you can use though.

How about the MSI P6NGM?
No idea on that one.. looks a bit naff though and I've been let down by MSI too many times to buy them anymore.. especially cheap ones. Stick with asus.
As I said though you won't really notice a big difference between the boards, it's only really overclocking that seperates them these days. Stock performance is all much of a muchness.
I am a Gigabyte fan boy, absolutely love there motherboards. I'd recommend this one> Computer hardware and software at amazing prices, available online from Scan Computers UK
