Best Case and CPU cooler for £85?

Title explains all,
I've ordered the FSP 700W psu for £30...
That comes this Friday
Well I've already chosen my ram and Graphics cards already.
8800GT & Corsair PC2-5300 ram.

I'll be ordering the cpu cooler, case, graphics card and ram this Friday =]
Oh and I prefer CPU cooler > Case budget wise.

Re: Best Case and CPU cooler for £85?

I would get a coolermaster CM690 and a scythe mine/ninja

CM-690 - normally £45 on scans today only
ninja
mine

The case has fantastic cooling, as good if not better than the antec 900 and it has good cable management behind the mobo tray

*sigh* every time someone buys a PSU over 600W I die a little inside.

Like staffsMike says, CM690 & a scythe.

Other than you not ever reaching anywhere near 50% capacity, and waste more juice than necessary.

Well... Let's see...
700W for £30 while a 450W for £45.
Which one's future proof?
Wouldn't the 700W naturally be more effecient?
Meh I bought it anyway >_<

Staffsmike! I really want that case but they never have any in stock =[
They haven't had one in stock for 1 week now =[
I need one by Friday also =/
What other cases would you recommend?

If I can cut my budget for an extra 30, I might buy a Zalman FPS GUN mouse

Yep that and the thermalright ultima 90 were the other two I was going to suggest just never got round to it. The xigmatek is actually a very good deal, and the fan that it comes with is pretty good.

Re: Best Case and CPU cooler for £85?

As much as I trust you guys for helping me...
I don't think I'll be able to get any of them
I "HAVE" to get everything in one smooth order from Scan only.
I'll be ordering on Friday so the today only cooler most likely won't be there...
I may choose another cooler like the Scythes but wouldn't the arctic cooler 7 pro be enough to cool a pentium d 925?

Well my initial plan atm is to get:
Arctic cooler 7 pro
Zalman FPS Gun
Akasa Zen V2 Case < Not sure about this.
I don't really need the FPS Gun though...

I'd go with the Antec 900 and Scythe Mine., I have the 900 and it's a great case, I'm also planning to buy the Scythe Mine shortly!

Re: Best Case and CPU cooler for £85?

Yeah that would be fine. When people give me a budget I like to aim high lol

Here's a tip though, add the xigmatec to your basket and I'm willing to bet it's still there at that price when you order

The akasa is OK, certainly a budget case in most respects but it comes with both fans so thats a plus.

Wouldn't that be considered cheating :O
Won't they cancel the order? xD
If it'll last in my basket, i'll consider it.
But wtf does the bolt kit do?

Re: Best Case and CPU cooler for £85?

The bolt kit is just to avoid using intel push pins which I actually don't mind. It holds that cooler pretty well as with the scythe and freezer 7 pro.

I guess it is cheating but it works and they dont cancel due to it in my experience.

Re: Best Case and CPU cooler for £85?

it's a better method of mounting than the stock Intel pushpin system.

worst comes to the worst SCAN should still have the Xigmatek on Friday, it just may not be at the special price.

Re: Best Case and CPU cooler for £85?

Alright I'll do it.
You really think the Akasa Zen V2 is enough space to fit all of it in?
I'm still pretty sure there's a better case for around £50 apart from the CM 690 on scan...
