Is it good for a computer to lie on its side? I am running out of space :S
I'm mainly worried about the hard drives.

Im sure that is fine, many cases have vertically mounted hd's. DVD drive should be fine too, nothing else has moving parts so should be fine.

No probs with hard drives, they can be mounted either way anyway.
With optical drives also should be okay but when you open the tray the disc will probably fall out (and will need to be held in when closing as well)
May even be better if you have a heavy heatsink to have motherboard parallel to the floor.
Only issue I can think of is the path for airflow. Most tower cases have cool air going in front and warm air exhauting out top back . On its side, the warm aire may not flow out so easily

no problem at all, considering desktop pc are basically pc's on there side and many cases have drives on there side like mine anyway

Hmmm no side to the case! Then how do you save space by having it laid on its side as opposed to upright which has a smaller footprint?
I thought you have it on its side so you can stack stuff ontop of it....like a screen for example.
I have a draw that is the perfect shape![]()
