    Toying with selling up

    Hi all.

I am toying with selling up my gaming rig, as it just is not used enough anymore to justify it and things look like I may have a family on the way

It's housed in an Antec 900
    Seasonic S12 600 PSU
    Abit IP35 Pro
    Q6600 @ 3.2GHZ on stock Intel Air, stable 39c idle 57c load
    4GB Corsair XMS2 DDR 800 2x2GB
    250GB Sata2 Western Digital HD
XFX 8800GTS Alpha DOG XXX, 750/1050

It would come with a Samsung 204BW 20' Widescreen monitor, and a Logitech G25 wheel set.

What sort of prices am I looking at if I do make up my mind.

    Re: Toying with selling up

There was a guy selling something very similar recently (beleive he sold it this week). He decided to sell at £450 I beleive (for the base unit) I figure you would get the same perhaps £500.

Obviously people will be chomping at the bit for you to split, I don't know where you want to do that.

Not sure on the screen and wheel. I would guess knocking 30% off the new price (now) if they are in good condition is fair enough.

I don't wish to swing this off topic but..

    "Q6600 @ 3.2GHZ on stock Intel Air, stable 39c idle 57c load"

Were those easy to achieve? I am a overclocking n00b, I've only dabbled with coolbits on an old Geforce2 so any help would be good.

Fairly normal at that sort of speed I would say but not for a stock cooler. With a decent mid-high end air cooler that is what you would be expecting of a G0.

That's the Antec 900 delivering those temps, possibly with the fans on high.

Yeah they are, if it's £500 then I'd rather keep it to be honest,

    Re: Toying with selling up

You can't get much more as £550 is where you can start building a similar one new. Ebay may serve you better if someone wants one thats up and running nicely.

Looks like Ebay it will be, unless like you say I can find someone who just wants one already built and run in.

    Thanks
