Weird problem with a Shuttle SX38P2 Pro

Just setup this Shuttle system, and I have an odd problem...

It doesn't detect the keyboard on startup. Usually this is easily solved by plugging in a PS/2 keyboard and then setting up the BIOS to detect USB keyboards, except that this model has no PS/2 port. There's a motherboard header for PS/2 keyboards but how do I connect anything to that? Is there no way around this?

    thats very odd.

Do you know that your USB keyboard works without drivers because some don't.

    Try checking the manual...

Other than that I have no clue...

    Nevermind, solved.
Now I'm getting an error at 'Verifying DMI Pool Data'. It hangs there for a minute or so then fills the screens with '01'

Only problem I had with my sx38p2 pro was it wouldn't boot if you ran the tft off a dvi cable, as soon as you swap to a VGA cable it boots fine. Have a look at the Sudhian forums as they have a mass of info on the sx38 and its problems and fixes

I've got a similiar problem with my sd31g2, I put in a 4x pci-express TV card in mine and for some reason DVi doesnt work now, VGA is fine though.

Did you manage to fix yours and how?

There is no fix for it, it all depends on the cards you use. Now shuttle use the PCI-e 2 spec to the letter in their chipsets and the card manufacturers aren't sticking to the spec fully so the shuttle has a fit and stops with DVI sometimes. I think there are only two cards on the market that work with em.

I am now though having to go through the shuttle and replace all the fans as the bearings in them have gone within 2 months. Always wanted a shuttle based system to save the space but the sx38p2 pro feels rushed. Think I will have to start doing mods to it to get bigger fans in there.
