Will the Corsair HX620W be able to support tht (obviously the wattage is ok but is the rail thing ok), this is to do with the GTX 280.

From what I can see, it looks to be fine.
Since the new computer will be making this PSU run at high loads pretty consistantly (making it nice and loud )what are peoples suggestions for a modular psu with a higher wattage that is hopefully as well performing as the Corsair ???

Full system pulls 365w with a 9800GX2, raptor, OC Quad Core, 790i mobo and 4GB RAM. Im sure the Corsair PSU will be fine
Main - Intel Core i5 2300 @ 3.5GHz, 8GB DDR3 1333Mhz RAM, Asus P8P67 Pro, Coolermaster iGreen 600w, GTX 480, Antec One Case
As said above, your psu should be fine.
However I don't think that nvidia installation guide is real' The first line under 'cpu' has some bad grammar in it.
we recommend a of a Core 2 Duo E6300 CPU
Perhaps not very well translated?
It could be true they always over estimate what power supply you need so that even after 2-3 years the power supply doesn't degrade to a point where it will not be able to supply enough power. From my experience the recommended Watts/amps required that are given by either ATI or nVidia are well above actual requirements to be on the safe side.
That said your current CPU(corsair HX620) is perfectly fine, great quality and wouldn't be very noisy either. If you want maybe another choice I'd look at Enermax. So this would be a more expensive equivalent(some regard enermax as better than corsair but its generally accepted that they are both GOOD brands) to the corsair> Enermax MODU82+ 88%Eff
