    PC Notebook/Laptops for the Girls

My female friend's laptop got damaged over the weekend.

She wants to buy a new one. She is the type of girl that goes for the look of the laptop rather than the internal bits (she only uses the laptop for word processing, facebook, emails and msn).

What are some stylish laptops around?

I have a Samsung and she thinks that looks nice since it has a glossy black outside and all black inside...etc....

    Around £1000 budget...

I presume go for something like Sony?

Yeah sony CR comes in all sorts of colour and you can get half decent ones for less than £1000

    Even get pink ones lol

Personally though I'd get her a dell xps M1330/M1530 depending on what size she wants (13.3" or 15.4"). They look great, can be pretty much maxed out on performance for £1000 and are nice and light.

You can get the lid black, blue, red or pink I think.

Aren't there some nice looking HPs around these days. I think they have some pretty cool paterns etched on the lid etc.

Yep and thats pretty much all they have going for them lol

Reliability is poor in my experience as is the the service. The mice are annoying on those funky ones too.
