Works perfectly now, thanks though Peterb!

It won't be a WEP code on the bottom of the router - you choose that - more likely the MACF address.
Disable all encruyption on the wireless link and get wireless working correctly - then apply the security measures (WEP or WAP - and denying connections from unknown MAC addresses)

I've tried disabling the Encryption but it doesnt fix the problem; the router has a MACF address on the bottom and serial number. The WEP code I have that works on this computer contains both numbers and letters but the Netgear software on the new pc only seemed to ask for a "hex" number.
The network (BTVOYAGER) is apprently "WEP Protected" if that helps.
You can enter a WEP code aws both hex or alphanumeric - depending on the settings of the device. (Hex is better because if you use alphanumeric, you tend to use a subset of all the available characters)
If you have disabled all encryption, check to make sure that the router is set to accept any MAC address, and also check that the DHCP scope (if you are using the router's DHCP server) is larger enough to allocate a TCP/IP address to the connecting computer.
