    I bought an OEM SATA cd drive from scan, what cable plugs from it into the motherboard?

    do you plug a SATA cable from the CD drive to the same SATA ports as you use for the HDD?
    the motherboard has an "optical drive" port just under the top PCI-E slot but there are no cables that fit it

    There should be several SATA ports arround where you plugged your HDD into on the MOBO. Just plug the SATA cable into one of the other SATA ports, and plug the power into it, then on boot the BIOS should recognise it

    remember that you need a power source on the cd drive aswell...

    this could be by a molex plug or sata powerconnector/molex converter

    Good point. If you have a modern PSU it should have a SATA power connector, but if not you may need to buy a convertor - to convert 4pin molex into SATA power, such as this
