    Stability testing

    Hi.

Just overclocked my system a bit:
    Abit NF7-S (v2.0)
    2x256mb pc2700
    Gainward GF4 ti4200 Golden Sample
    XP1700 tbred 'B'

    Its now at:
    9.5 x 205
    CPU:1.975ghz (1.7v)
    RAM: 410mhz (2.7v)
    GFX: 303/621 (from 250/513)

And how do i know its stable.....?
Left 3dmark2001, SETI, and Prime95 running all night and it was still here in the morning. Had done 1000 3dmark tests.

    I was quite impressed

    Hi mate!

WHat temps are you reaching? If you left it on overnight with those intensive tests going then you can be pretty sure its stable....
Of course sometimes thats not 100% guaranteed.
    Nice little overclock!

Dont know, didnt have anything monitering it. Went into the BIOS this morning and it said 47, dont know how accurate it is.

I have a Lian-li PC-60 case, so air flow is pretty good. The air coming out is a lot cooler than that off my brothers XP1800 Pally at stock...

Gonna try some more overclocking in a bit

That's a great way to test for stability. If it's still running in the morning, I'd be pretty confident your rig will be stable.

I'd be more interested if Prime generated any errors. As you participating in a folding client, the worst thing is to push your overclock too much and have your cpu generating any errors, which are then sent back to the main server. No good for Seti's cause.
