Its some sort of rubber, provides amazing grip especially during my long gaming sessions on Team Fortress 2

I've just bought a DeathAdder and it is the best mouse I've ever used.

I prefer the shape over a G5/9 and combined with my Razer Lycosa keyboard it looks sweet

Guess its all personal preferance really. If you are really unsure about a mouse you need to get yourself to a local store and ask them to test it out.

This is the only way i know i prefer a Logitech as i went to scan and actually played with the razors in their little display room.
