Using a sata hard disk on a gigabyte ga-7vm

http://209.200.4.4/uk_computer_compo...asp?tbl_id=956 - this one, cant find a better link

    Hi guys.

This is my brothers old PC but he's moved, mum wants me to set it up for her. I have a 300gb maxtor sata hdd lying around so was going to pop it in only to discover there are no sata ports on the motherboard.

What's the best and easiest solution? I'm worried getting a sata card will mean I'm going to have a difficult time getting windows to play nice with the hard disk, especially during installation.

    Cheers guys

Sorry, what I meant was there is currently no hard disk in the system, my brother took it with him to preserve his data!

You can get sata to ide converters as above. Nice and cheap too, though dealextreme often take a couple of weeks to deliver...
