Saitek r660(steering wheel) help

Well got an r660 for my birthday and its great but it seems to be lag in the response, i cant find anything that affects this as it lags while turning the wheel, so basicly when i try and compensate for something in grid it can cause me to go out of control as ive move it to much(as it wasnt responding). Any idea?


Also, what racing games do you recommend for pc? have grid but thats it.

Does the Control Panel applet for game controllers show the same trouble with wheel movement?

no it shows perfect movement onn the sliders etc so am i right in thinking its a software issue? i downloaded the grid patch and its reduced it but still noticeable.

Lag to steering input is a bit of a problem on beefy driving games. Test Drive Unlimited can suffer the same thing if you don't have a fast enough computer.

I'd go for a slightly less demanding game as then it can be all about your driving and getting a good feel through the wheel. Race 07, GTR2, rFactor, LFS are all top 'realistic' driving games for use with the wheel.

TDU is fun to cruise with a wheel, but the lumpy road can make it a lot of work if you use force feedback.

i dont see how it could be lag from my computer tbh, ill try with lower settings and see.
