    hi guys, just wondering, i have a 305 watt power source. http://reviews.cnet.com/desktops/del...-31420314.html
    and i have 80gb sata HDD, pentium 4 HT, DVD RW, and 1 gb ram. i plug the gfx card in and it doesnt seem to display anything, i think when i did it last the fan sounded more louder. what happened if i dont have enough power to power the card.?

    Have you actually checked the PSU specs properly, I doubt that website is completely accurate... which graphics card did you put in? 300W is not enough for any semi-decent graphics card...

    it said something about the rails being 108 watts
    then i looked at the thing and i think it said 280 watts.
    nah i didnt want a decent card, just a card which was dedicated not from my motherboard.

    the card i believe is ATi Radeon x300

    A *very good* quality 300W would be able to power that system, just about... I am guessing that the PSU doesn't have enough juice. Why use a x300 over onboard? You can't play games on either anyway...
